<p>The only downside I could see to this would be trying to hold recordings to the same standards as written quotes. As in every page would be expected to have not only a quote, but a recording of it as well. That would make editing significantly more complicated and time consuming and I'm not sure it's worth it for something like this. </p><p>
</p><p>If you're just trying to open up the option for recordings to exist, but not necessarily be held in the same regard as written quotes, I have no problem supporting that. </p>

<p>I'm on the fence. It's one of those things where I don't have anything against it, per se (beyond that not every platform can hear the quotes), but it's not really worth the trouble. Our metrics show that pretty much no one plays those when they're available, which is why they're a low priority for Fandom to fix when the player breaks.</p><p>

<p>In what format is the audio, by the way? The platform only supports OGG, and even that isn't really supported on iOS. MediaWiki doesn't understand, for example, MP3/MP4.</p><p>
