It certainly sets things up for a dramatic conclusion to the whole Kaylon thing. I think a reckoning is coming one way or the other in the finale and I can't wait to see what happens. I suspect the whole thing with Timmis is likely to a factor in whatever happens.

Klyden's change of heart was due to almost loosing his kid, any parent will tell you that no matter how disfunconal a family might be when a kid that young is close to death it will change people (or aliens)

- was it too fast not sure, do we know how much time passes in the episode, Topa's kidnapping and torture might have been days or a week earlier from the time Klyden came back (other then that one scar that Claire was healing up, all the other scars were gone), and the dinner scene might have been a few more days later

Also we do not know his races way of forgiving others, he still looked mad at Kelly at the end but he respected the fact that she is in Topa's life enough to invite her to dinner a "Breaking Bread" peace scene. the last episode with him and Bortus getting remarried might have also been 2 months later (given the sandwich time travel scene)
