A civilian stationed aboard the Orville in late September 2419^[1] through October 2420.^[2] As the name suggests, he serves as its bartender in the Mess Hall. He serves Chief of Security Alara Kitan a double Xelayan tequila, and also present at the award ceremony when Captain Ed Mercer presents Alara with the Sapphire Star.^[1] In November 2419, he serves First Officer Kelly Grayson two glasses of what look to be whiskey.^[3] In August 2420, he cleans glasses and takes orders at the bar while Helmsman Gordon Malloy talks to Lieutenant Dorsett.^[2] In December, he serves drinks during the reception of Ty Finn's piano recital.^[4] In early 2421, he serves shots of Eldorian vodka to Gordon.^[5] In an alternate timeline where Pria Lavesque did not capture the Orville, the bartender was killed along with the rest of the crew in a dark matter storm.^[6] The Alien Bartender is played by Dirk Rogers, normally a make-up artist on The Orville.

Ensign Brooks Brooks is an Ensign and a Shuttle Bay controller. He oversees shuttlecraft docking on the ship. Brooks supervises the docking and departure of SCV-183-2, a shuttle from the USS Olympia, carrying a forensic archaeologist and an ancient artifact recovered from the planet Lopovius. Brooks is portrayed by Stevens Gaston.

Crewman #1	Human	Ensign	Shuttle Bay	About a Girl Into the Fold
Crewman #1 is a Human Ensign and Security Officer who works on the Orville's Shuttle Bay floor. In early October 2419, he oversees the departure of Klyden, Bortus, and Topa by shuttle.^[3] About a month later, he oversees an away team take a shuttle to the Bio-ship.^[7] In an alternate timeline where Pria Lavesque did not capture the Orville, the crewman was killed along with the rest of the crew in a dark matter storm.^[6] Crewman #1 is played by Shay Ali. Ali lists in his personal resume that his title was "Ensign Crewman."^[8]

Davis is an Ensign aboard the Orville who reports that he spilled soy sauce on his pants after the ship travels through a spatial anomaly. Ed is shocked Davis bothered adding that to a damage report and says he needs to get a better crew.

Dorsett was a Human Lieutenant and Science Officer who ate dinner with Helmsman Gordon Malloy. She was impressed to hear he was taking the Shipmaster Qualification Program and agreed to drinks later. Dorsett is played by Michele Boyd.

Two Human Lieutenant engineers, one male and one female are present for "ice breakers" with John and, later, are found working in Engineering when John and Lieutenant Yaphit create a "quantum bubble" around the ship. Both engineers install a field generator in the navigational array under John. Yaphit enters, asking if they need any help, and John says to check the power relays. The male engineer snidely says, "Yeah, try not to screw that up, too," and his female counterpart adds, "Yeah, no kidding." John grows angry, and the male engineer says that it was Yaphit's "half-cocked idea" that got them stuck in two-dimensional space. Engineer #1 is played by Dan J. Evans; Engineer #2 is played by Erica Mathlin.

This ensign was a Security Officer who unsuccessfully resisted the Kaylon while they took over the Orville. He was killed in a hallway in the ensuing skirmish. The uncredited title is Ensign, a cameo played by Johnny Alexander.^[9] Alexander is normally a stunt double for the main cast.

After Captain Ed Mercer told the USS Roosevelt that the Kaylon had taken over his ship, Kaylon Primary, Kaylon Secondary, Isaac forced Ed to watch them kill this ensign by ejecting him from an airlock. Isaac tried to dissuade Primary and Secondary by pointing out that the ensign's knowledge of the ship's operations were invaluable as a trained systems engineer, but to little effect. The ensign froze to death in the vacuum of space and left behind by the Kaylon armada on their way to Earth. Ensign is played by Mark Mammone, ordinarily a production assistant on the show, who auditioned for the role in Season 2.

In an alternate timeline in which Ed Mercer did not become captain of the Orville, Griffith became its captain in September 2419. Captain Griffith commanded Second Officer Bortus, Chief of Security Alara Kitan, Navigator John LaMarr, Lieutenant Yaphit, and the Kaylon emissary Isaac. The Orville went to Kaylon 1 when Isaac deactivated in January 2421, and the Kaylon seized the ship. Griffith and his or her unnamed first officer died in the Battle of Earth.

Jody Duncan is a Human Lieutenant in either the medical or science sections who works aboard the Orville in the summer and fall of 2420. She is the wife of Nathan Duncan and mother to James Duncan. James periodically stole her comscanner to alter his grades. She (and her husband) naively believed James to be a straight-A student and a model son until Isaac proved he hacked into the Computer's academic database and the Food Synthesizer. Jody is played by Kristen O'Meara.

A classmate and friend of Marcus Finn and James Duncan tags along to hack into a Food Synthesizer and to generate a bottle of vodka, which they drink in the Environmental Simulator. Olivia was a classmate of Topa in early 2421. When Topa wanted Olivia's blue building block, he took it from her and said his dad said females were weak. Olivia replied, "Well, your papa's stupid. Give it back." Topa shoved her to the ground, prompting the schoolteacher to intervene. Later, after Bortus tried to show Topa the dignity of the female sex, Topa played well with Olivia. Olivia is played by Madelyn Grace.

Palovis Palovis is an alien Lieutenant and Science Officer stationed aboard the Orville around April 2420. His species is unknown. Palovis's main job aboard the Orville is to water the ship's various potted plants. Captain Ed Mercer can never remember his name, and generally greeted him with "hey, there he is!"^[10] Palovis is portrayed by Michael J. Sielaff.

Ensign Parker Parker is an Ensign and Security Officer. In late September or early October 2419, Captain Ed Mercer and Commander Kelly Grayson mysteriously vanish and Lieutenant Alara Kitan becomes acting captain of the Orville. The stress of command nauseates the inexperienced Kitan, and she runs to a sink to vomit where Parker finds her. He confirms that she is well and reminds her of his name, then Kitan brusquely dismisses him. Later, Parker is badly injured from a Calivon buoy that explodes in space between the Orville's spatial tensor coils and the Shuttle Bay. Doctor Claire Finn reports that Parker will survive. Parker is portrayed by Mike Gray.

Reed is a Human Technician and Ensign in aboard the Orville in September^[1] and October^[3] 2419. Reed is played by Alaina Fleming.
Reptilian Alien	Unknown	Lieutenant	N/A	About a Girl Artifacts, Pt. 1
Reptilian Alien. This frog-like alien is a Lieutenant and Security Officer seen in the matter synthesis room in October 2419. The alien crafts a novelty throw pillow with a picture of a nude member of his species saying, "Have a slimy day!" In the room also is Klyden. Bortus wants to talk to Klyden, and shouts, "We require privacy. Leave. Now!" The alien grabs the pillow and says, "Wow, nice day to you, too. Dick," before exiting. Reptilian Alien is in fact a secret cameo by Julius Sharpe, a longtime fixture on Seth MacFarlane projects. Reptilian Alien was designed by property master Bryan Rodgers, who based his species on the white axolotl.^[11] Reptilian Alien can be seen entering a shop selling Xelayan books and antiquities on Outpost 47 in 2421.^[12]

Security Station Officer is a Human Ensign and Security Officer who is acting Chief of Security on the Bridge in early November 2419. He picks up an emergency distress message from the USS Druyan. Security Station Officer is played by Kane Lieu.
Shuttle Bay Officer #1	Human	Ensign	Shuttle Bay	Command Performance
Shuttle Bay Officer #1 is in charge of the Shuttle Bay doors. Shuttle Bay Officer #1 is a Human Ensign in the Security section who controls the Shuttle Bay's doors. In late the fall of 2419, Alara Kitan as acting captain orders him to open the doors to retrieve a Calivon buoy and the shuttlecraft ECV-197-1. Unfortunately, the buoy was a trap and explodes. The Officer shouts, "Get those doors shut!" He was unhurt in the explosion, and afterward helped Chief Engineer Steve Newton repair damage to the ship. The Shuttle Bay Officer #1 is played by George Tsai.

Shuttle Bay Lieutenant is a Human Security Officer who works on the ground floor of the Shuttle Bay and oversees the Orville's shuttlecraft. When Ed takes shuttle ECV-197-1 for a "drive-by," he offers to assign a co-pilot but Ed declines. Shuttle Bay Lieutenant is played by Melvin Diggs.
