In a busy town on the Multiphasic Planet, a mother chastises her son Dalen for running off. "What happens if you disobey your mother?" she asks. He answers, "Kelly will get me." She replies, "That's right. Kelly's watching you all the time. She knows when you've been bad, and she'll punish you."

Dalen is played by Ethan Jones; his mother by Jo Galloway.

The little, injured girl is one of the most important people in her planet's history.

While scouting the terrain of the Multiphasic Planet, Kelly surprises a young native girl who flees and stumbles. Kelly heals a cut on the girl's head with a dermoscanner and teaches the girl her name: "Kelly." When Kelly realizes that she is being watched by people from the girl's tribe, she scuttles back to the shuttle. The girl tells the tribe the name of her 'healer,' and Kelly is deified as a healing-creator goddess.

The credited title of the character is "Little Girl," played by Jasper McPherson. McPherson is the daughter of the show's associate producer Aaron McPherson.

A puppet version of this character was played by prop master Bryan Rodgers, but the scene was deleted.

Man on the Wagon Peasant Multiphasic Planet Mad Idolatry
As the away team walks along a road they stumble upon several corpses hung by beams, similar to a crucifixion. A passing man on a wagon explains: "It's a shame. Some people never see the light. They are deniers, put on display as a lesson to others, who would consider forsaking the word."

Man on the Wagon is played by (IDMB) Grahame Wood.

Three talk show pundits debate whether depictions of Kelly should be displayed in public schools. The first pundit, a secularist, argues that depictions of her are inappropriate; the third argues that the depictions are simply their cultural heritage. The second pundit says that parents who do not believe in Kelly "can enroll their children in a different facility."

Pundit #1 is played by Cryus Deboo; the second pundit described above is confusingly credited as Pundit #3, played by Betsy Baker; and the third pundit (credited as Pundit #2) is played by Stephen Jared.

A teenage boy is brought before the Valondis by a religious head who angrily explains that the boy was caught "eating fruit from a tree on church lands." The boy explains that his mother is ill and his family poor, and he ate the fruit to avoid starvation. The Valondis sentences the boy to cutting, a form of sanction where a bound victim bleeds to death.

Teenage Boy is played by Gordy De St. Jeor.

A televangelist preaches to packed church about the faith healing of the girl.

As a small away team from the Orville realizes they need disguises while on the planet so they pilfer clothes from a nearby cottage. A mother recognizes Commander Grayson as the deity Kelly and she begs Kelly to "bless" her son."

The mother is credited as Woman, and is played by Chloe Russell.
