Darden was a human civilian doctor and xenoanthropologist in the Planetary Union.
Life[]
In late 2419, Admiral Tom Halsey assigned Doctor Darden to supervise a team of xenoanthropologists to study a captured copy of an Anhkana, the Krill holy book; a team consisting of Franz, Karx, and Celeste. The xenoanthropologists began to practice the rituals each day, sometimes led by Teleya, and soon they converted to the Krill religion.[1]
In July 2420, Darden and the others were captured by the USS Orville attempting to enter Krill space. While on the ship, Franz, Darden, and Karx took a keen interest in hearing from Helmsman Gordon Malloy about his time aboard the Yakar. The xenoanthropologists held Krill services in the ship's cargo hold.[1]
After the Orville entered Krill territory thanks to a computer virus planted by the scientists, Darden and the others were imprisoned in the Brig.[2]
Darden is presumed to have been sent to a Union prison.
Trivia[]
- Writer and executive producer David A. Goodman has stated that characters were based around actual movie stars, but has not identified who in order to avoid litigation.[3] Doctor Darden closely resembles Stellan Skarsgård.
