Eugene Adamov is a set designer for Season 1 and Season 2 of The Orville. While little-known to fans of the show, Adamov drafted some of the most important architectural plans for the early phases of the show, most notably the set of the USS Orville itself.
Background[]
The Orville[]
Adamov joined the crew as a set designer for the show's pilot episode, Old Wounds. His most important contribution to the show was taking plans of the Orville ship made by production designer Stephen J. Lineweaver and others, then turning those ideas into architectural blueprints for the production crew to build.[1] Thus, Adamov is responsible for the final design of all ship rooms, including the Bridge, Engineering, Mess Hall, Sick Bay, Captain's Office and First Officer's Office, and the quarters for the crew, among many others.[2]
Season 2[]
Adamov re-joined the crew to create the architectural plans for Season 2, including new rooms on the Orville's set, like the Armory, and the scavenger ship, seen in The Road Not Taken.[3] Adamov also designed the Krill escape pod in Nothing Left on Earth Excepting Fishes and the East Side Theater, used in the Environmental Simulator in Deflectors.[4]
