Jeannie Mercer was the wife of Bert Mercer and mother of Ed Mercer.
History[]
Jeannie Mercer lived in Boxford, Massachusetts with her husband Bert, where they raised their son Ed, the future captain of the USS Orville.
The pair were friends with another family, the Petersons.
In early October 2419, a holographic version of Jeannie and Bert is created by the Calivon to capture Ed and Kelly Grayson.
Personality[]
Jeannie was an outgoing, personable woman, who wore her emotions on her sleeve. After Kelly's affair and Ed's subsequent divorce in 2418, it was a poorly kept secret that Jeannie resented her. According to Ed, Jeannie once called her a bitch "46 times in one sitting" at a restaurant, provoking the people at the adjoining table to complain.[1] Jeannie's conversations with her are stilted and tense.
