Jenny Turco was a human Lieutenant and Engineer aboard the USS Orville.
History[]
Jenny Turco was an ensign in the Orville's engineering crew by, at the latest, April 2420. During this time, she entered into a relationship with Chief Engineering Officer John LaMarr, the two taking part in late-night sexual dalliances and marijuana,[1] though they did not consider themselves to be dating.[2] When Captain Ed Mercer showed up at John's quarters one evening, Jenny eagerly invited him to join them only for Ed (on John's signal) to refuse.[3]
In November 2420, following the crew's disastrous first contact with the Regorians, Jenny was a guest at Commander Kelly Grayson and Lieutenant Commander's Bortus shared birthday party, being part of a group who tried to teach Isaac how to dance.[4]
She later went bowling in the Environmental Simulator with John and Gordon Malloy, where Isaac sought them out for advice on relationships.[2]
When the Orville's deflector system was upgraded, Jenny brought a tray of cupcakes decorated with little 'Orvilles' to wish the engineers good luck.[5]
By early 2422, Jenny had been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. By this point, she and John were no longer sexual partners. Jenny participated in major upgrades to the ship to prepare for the Kaylon threat.[6]
When the Janisi were brought aboard for diplomatic negotiations, Jenny was part of the all-female engineering crew left on duty, saying a mocking goodbye to the males whom Charly Burke forced off the deck.[7]
Following Isaac proposing marriage to Claire Finn, John advised the android that marrying one's first girlfriend could often end in disaster, while Jenny advised the opposite. When Dr. Finn later came to engineering to publicly chew John out over his advice, Jenny was part of the engineering staff who watched before she later attended the wedding.[8]
