Korick was a Moclan from Moclus. He was the husband of Toren and a father to Mersa. In 2421, Toren and Korick delivered their daughter to a secret colony for Moclan females known as "The Sanctuary," unintentionally igniting a political firestorm within the Planetary Union Council.
Life[]
Korick mated Toren in 2412. In early 2421, they hatched a daughter Mersa. To protect Mersa from Moclus' forcible sex reassignment surgery, the two made contact with a clandestine network of ships that offered Mersa a life on a colony planet hidden within a nebula.
Toren, as an engineer in the Moclan Fleet, accepted a fake research assignment with a Moclan vessel in the Nekkar system (in fact one of the network's ships). To get to the network ship, the three would have to travel with the USS Orville. They put Mersa into a stasis chamber for the journey.
While aboard the Orville, Toren tapped into the ship's power to run Mersa's chamber. Second Officer Bortus caught the two with the daughter, and Korick lied and said their destination was Retepsia, where the government had promised them asylum. Bortus agreed to hide their secret from the captain.
The trio joined the network's ship, which took them to The Sanctuary.
Their secret was later discovered when Bortus' son Topa divulged Mersa to Captain Ed Mercer. Toren, Korick, and Mersa were in a colony village when the Orville visited The Sanctuary shortly thereafter.
