Losha is a female Janisi who debuts in From Unknown Graves. She was accompanied by First Officer Kava and First Lieutenant Hodell.
She was portrayed by actress Sophina Brown.

An Alliance[]
After the Union lost a potential alliance with the Krill due to Teleya taking the position of Supreme Chancellor, they began searching for another species to align with. Since the Orville was in the space when the Union found the Janisi, they were going to be the ones negotiate with the Janisi - the representatives later found to be Commander Losha, First Officer Kava, and First Lieutenant Hodell.
Since Talla had knowledge about the Janisi's culture, she warned the crew and the Orville beforehand that the Janisi were fiercely matriarchal, and will not associate with a male-dominated society.
