Man in Red Robe was the credited title of an unnamed high-ranking member within the Church of Kelly.[2] He was notable for assassinating the Valondis.
History[]
The dignitary was first seen standing beside the local vicar, Valondis. First Officer Kelly Grayson of the USS Orville entered the church and proved to Valondis that she was not a deity as they believe her to be. Valondis decided to tell the people that Kelly was in fact a mortal. The dignitary worried that power in the church would be threatened and murdered Valondis by stabbing him in the back with a dagger.

According to Wardrobe Designer Joseph Porro, the Man in Red Robe was intentionally modeled after the cardinals of the Catholic Church.[3]
