Narran 1 was a barren, uninhabited planet known to the Planetary Union in the early 25th century. Narran was located about two days' journey by shuttle from the planet Xelaya, which means it was probably located within the Union's territory in space.

Narran 1 had been surveyed by the Union on numerous occasions before the year 2422, and each scan showed a lifeless and "desolate" world. Officers regarded it as a "barren rock" of a planet, with stony and sandy landscapes devoid of any other life such as vegetation.
History[]
Dinal, a member of Baleth's species, visited Narran 1 in 2422 and used highly sophisticated technology to manipulate the appearance of the planet to be lush and vibrant, with an advanced society of 8.5 billion individuals. The simulation was a ruse to trick the USS Orville to visit the planet. She proceeded to change other aspects of the planet, such as creating a fictional high school from Earth.
