Paul Christie is a male human that is one of the Union's top diplomats, noted for negotiating the Din'jon Accords. He made his first appearance in Shadow Realms, hoping to negotiate with the Krill about Union exploration into Krill space.
While exploring an unknown vessel, Christie was infected with a bacterial spore causing his DNA to rapidly mutate. The alien species reproduces by a condensed slime filled with the spores. Christie was infected and "transformed" along with many other Orville crew members.
History[]
Christie was a professor at Union Point, which Dr. Claire Finn attended as medical student. Claire Finn confesses that she had an ongoing relationship with him while attending class. Once she graduated, she married him within 6 months.
The marriage did not last long as Christie wanted a "smiling young girl" and not a person who wanted a serious relationship. It deeply effected Christie when Claire Finn divorced him.
After an unknown amount of time after their divorce, Paul Christie was promoted to Admiral. Christie states that an apology to Claire was 25 years late, perhaps hinting that this was the first time they had seen each other in that time frame.
