Robert Picardo is an American actor. He portrays Xelayan Ildis Kitan, father of Alara Kitan.

He is known for his portrayals of the Emergency Medical Hologram (EMH), also known as The Doctor, on Star Trek: Voyager (along with cast members Tim Russ and Robert Duncan McNeill); the Cowboy in Innerspace, and as Richard Woolsey in the Stargate television franchise. Picardo is also a member of the Board of Directors of The Planetary Society.

Picardo plays the Xelayan character Ildis Kitan, the father of Alara Kitan. He disapproves of Alara's career choice and deems it beneath her, but appears to be a supportive father figure.
