Semmla is a co-host of the television show The Chat on the planet Sargus 4. Alongside Hoshel and Carris, Semmla interviews guests on apology tours.

The three co-hosts interview Navigator John LaMarr in the middle of his apology tour, but their interview is heavily biased against him. Semmla encourages Carris for downvoting him at the start of the interview; she is shocked when she learns that LaMarr cannot identify the person of Mella Giffendon, whose statue LaMarr denigrated.
