Tami Lane is an American prosthetic make-up artist and the make-up department head for The Orville. In Season 1, Lane was key make-up artist.

Tami Lane graduated from Bradley University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in art and emphasis in graphic design.
Lane won an Academy Award for Best Makeup for the film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. She received an additional Academy Award nomination for the 2012 film The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Lane worked with Seth MacFarlane, creator of The Orville, in 2014 on the film Ted 2.
The Orville[]
Lane was hired as key make-up artist for the show for the first season, working under Howard Berger. She was in charge of Seth MacFarlane and Penny Johnson Jerald's make-up and hair, and Halston Sage's prosthetics.[1] When Berger left to work on the set of Mile 22, Lane was promoted to head of the make-up department.[2]

For their work on Season 1 of The Orville, Lane was nominated alongside Berger and Garrett Immel by the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards for Best Special Make-up Effects - Television and New Media Series.[3]
