The Orville: Original Television Soundtrack - Season 1 is a soundtrack release on La-La Land Records featuring the entire score of Season 1 of The Orville. The total album play time is 151 minutes, 57 seconds.
The soundtrack was first announced on December 24, 2018 and released on January 22, 2019.[1] A companion editorial review stated:
Music by Bruce Broughton, Joel McNeely, John Debney and Andrew Cottee. Exciting, dramatic and heartfelt, the original score to the hit show, The Orville, starring Seth MacFarlane, Adrianne Palicki, Penny Johnson Jerald, is an orchestral delight. Music as big and bold as the series' wondrous sci-fi adventures.[2]

Liner notes titled "Voyage to Utopia" were written by Jeff Bond, author of The World of the Orville. The album was produced by Dan Goldwasser and the composers and mastered by Pat Sullivan of Bernie Grundman Mastering. Art was designed by Goldwasser.[3]
For the month of January 2019, La-La Land Records teamed with the Planetary Union Network for a giveaway contest of the album to fans.[4]
In August 2020, La-La Land Records released a "2XLP 180 gram, white colored vinyl presentation" which was "mastered for vinyl by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering [and] manufactured by Erika Records."[5]
The album is succeeded by The Orville: Original Television Soundtrack - Season 2.

Curiously, the order of tracks reflects the original production order of Season 1 where If the Stars Should Appear was the second episode of the season, Command Performance was third, and About a Girl was fourth.
