The USS Jefferson (LCV-329) was a Leviathan-class heavy cruiser in Planetary Union service in the early 25th century.
Between 2416 and 2421 in an alternate timeline, the ship was commanded by Captain Al Mosley and First Officer Kelly Grayson. Cassius also worked on the ship as a civilian schoolteacher.
History[]
In an alternate timeline where Kelly Grayson turned down Ed Mercer's invitation for a second date in 2414, Mosley became captain of the Jefferson sometime after 2416, transferring off of the USS Wilson. Kelly joined as his first officer. Evidently, the Jefferson's second officer left around mid-2419 as Ed applied for a transfer to the position in September. At an unknown date before 2419, Cassius met Kelly and transferred to the Jefferson as its schoolteacher. The two married sometime after.[1]
Admiral Ozawa visited the Jefferson in September 2419 to rendezvous with the USS Orville, which had recently survived a difficult battle with the Krill for control of a prototype quantum accelerator.[1]
In January 2421, the Jefferson visited an unnamed space station on its way to Outpost 73. At the station, Kelly supervised a cargo transfer. Three guests joined the ship as well: Claire, Ty, and Marcus Finn. Realizing that this meant her travel to the future had actually occurred, Kelly tried to have the USS Orville deterred from travelling to Kaylon Prime only to learn the ship was already on its way.[1]
Knowing the Kaylon invasion of Earth was imminent, Kelly resigned from the Jefferson and recruited Claire to help her find the crew of the Orville. Along with Cassius, Kelly and the Finns disembarked from the Jefferson at Outpost 73.[2]
